A laptop HDD Toshiba MK8032GAX vol. 80 GB was brought to my repair shop for information recovery. At power on its engine is not accelerated, so notebook is not defined in the BIOS. By the way, reliability of Toshiba hard disks 2,5" does not differ much of ruefully known Fujitsu MPG storage discs. The latter are known for poor quality of printed circuit boards, and Toshiba HDD have problems with the spindle engine shaft. Lubricant is extruded from the cup onstream and the engine is seizured at once. If engine is seizured not so tight, it starts to run but does not pick up necessary speed; or it is seizured fast, and even combination pliers use is of no help. The only way of data recovery in this case is replacement of plates set into another hermetic zone with good engine and consequent centering. There exist some more ways of this problem solution but not all of them can help to reach the aim. The best way is plates replacement. Especially if there is a standard hermetical unit with a good engine and centering equipment.
